The access control manages remote and/or local log-on activities (logical access), and room entrance (physical access). The flow control authenticates persons who are entitled to use memberships, e-files, and groupwares. The tracking function includes e-passport issuance, e-transactions, and employee work time recording.
Practical applications may have two or more objective categories. For example, fingerprint authentication using smart card can have all objectives. Web-based matching and data& log-on security mostly belong to the logical access control.
