FAST21 is a unique minutiae extraction and matching algorithm for identification (1:N) and verification (1:1). FAST21 requires only a single PC, to provide a desirable performace for a small to a mid scale system:
- FAR < 0.0002% and FRR < 0.05% using FP-Plus and FP-50LSC
- FAR < 0.0001% and FRR < 0.01% using FP-200LSC
- FAR < 0.001% and FRR < 0.1% using FP-Stick
- Wide range of finger placement position (rotation angle up to 180°)
- Pre-process to enhance a fingerprint image of a dry/wet finger
- Template size can be as small as 97 bytes for smart card verification
- The standard matching routine needs the template size 128 bytes
- The high accuracy matching routine requires the template size 256 bytes
- Bio-API, ANSI INCITS 378-2004, and BAPI compliance
- Can be integrated with any sensors (256 grayscale, 500dpi minimum)
FAST21 is an Application Program Interface (API) for implementing a versatile fingerprint matching system that is tailored for individual requirement such as improvement and maintenance of a high security system by adding or embedding API to an existing system.
FAST 21 is a fast fingerprint identification algorithm supporting a large-scale network administration including a client-server and a web application systems.
FAST 21 is a compact and light weight software that can be embedded in to a various devices. For example, we successfully embedded in a smart card that has the ISO7816 compliance.

FAST21 SDK calls our propriety minutiae extraction method, and outouts our template format and/or a standard template which complies with ANSI INCITS 378-2004 "Finreprint Minutiae Format for Data Interchange." Figure below show NIST's sample minutiae extraction and our extraction from the same fingerprint image.
