"Are your fingerprint data on your card?"
We use so many cards everyday. Smart cards are rapidly spreading into our society as a useful tool. A latest smart card offers multifunctions and high capacity memory. It can embed digital signature, secrete key, and public key cryptography for protecting personal information security. However, a smart card does not protect you from an ID theft. Having a card does not prove that you are the true owner. If someone steal the card information and your password while you are not aware of that, you are doomed.
Credit card companies now start offering "ID theft insurances" because the financial impact of the ID theft is enormous; it is annually 20 to 25 billion dollars worldwide, and increasing rapidly. The incident in summer 2005 was big news to everyone. The insurance is actually beneficial to the companies but what about to a card holder? You will hate a time-consuming process of contacting several credit companies and claiming the insurance. For this reason, digital fingerprint verification on a card attracts much attention as the most practical and feasible method.
Technoimagia is an earliest biometric company which realized the importance of integration of ID cards and fingerprint verification. We specially developed the a fingerprint verification template that can be as small as 97 bytes, and stored in a memory area of a smart card for matching on the card.
We developed magnetic stripe cards FP-Card, and then FP-Card II in 1996. Recently, we delivered matching algorithm, Card SDK, to Dai-Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) for its smart card application. We also developed a RFID based card, FP-OwnCard, that can be used for e-passport, physical access, and other security applications.

 | ・ Non-contact RFID card developed by Technoimagia. ・ The function of the card can be embedded in an e-passport to carry fingerprint information. ・ FP-OwnCard reader has LS-120 fingerprint sensor.

Technoimagia has designed and implemented a RF-ID based biometric passport issuance system. It uses the same principle as FP-OwnCard. A compact card writer and reader and fingerprint verification system issues, reads and verifies a FP-passport and its owner. The fingerprint sensor is FP-200LSC.

Technoimagia's compact smart card reader, FP-Plus SC, provides you with fingerprint matching on a contact type smart card. FP-Plus SC has powerful function using Technoimagia's unique template matching algorithm and hardware.
FP-Plus & Smart Card Reader Now DNP's smart card can have a fingerprint template generated by Technoimagia's SDK. The algorithm, Card SDK, is based on FAST21 Verify, which succeeded in our fast and accurate fingerprint matching capability.
